Business Development and co-founder, Carol is passionate about the role of the private sector in combatting global inequality. She has over 10 years experience of international business development and marketing strategies in emerging economies and is founder of Inquve with experience of leading more than 500 projects in India and SE Asia.
CFO, Richard applies 20 years experience in finance, strategy and fundraising to creating impactful, viable and scalable companies. He is founder and former CEO of a sustainable palm oil business in West Africa, co-founder of two companies and a school and NED for several UK based social enterprises.
Operations Manager, Sarom is an agronomist over 15 years experience as a manager, trainer and advisor to smallholder farmers on climate smart agriculture and biochar applications. He also produces his own organic honey.
Biochar Operator, Chetra is HUSK´s first biochar operator who has been operating our pyrolysis plant at COFE rice mill, Phnom Penh since January 2019 and is responsible for biochar production and packaging.
Pyrolysis technician, Bai started working with HUSK in July 2019 and has 5 years experience working with gasification technology. He has helped increase our production capacity and is responsible for quality and maintenance.
Federico is an Industrial Engineer with an MBA who has helped us bootstrap our first biochar operation in Cambodia. He has 5 years experience working in industrial settings, including sustainable charcoal and biochar production in Cambodia. He has also set up an ecotourism initiative in Kenya with a Masai community.
Kate has a PhD in plant pathology and 5 years experience in Cambodia, Bangladesh, Australia and the US as scientific advisor and researcher. She is specialised in vegetable and fruit production, from food safety to pathogen resistance to training farmers. Kate supervises HUSK crop trials, evaluation and product quality.
Eric has over 13 years experience in greenhouse gas mitigation, renewable energy and associated monitoring, reporting and evaluation frameworks. Eric has worked extensively across Asia and Africa, and leads on HUSKs carbon removal credit strategy, methodologies and reporting.
